Heading into the offseason, the Sun Devil secondary appeared to be one of the more glaring shortcomings on the team. A disappointing close to the 2011 season combined with player turnover and injuries created concerns and a need for renewed depth. So far this spring, junior Robert Nelson has proven to be exactly what they needed.

Nelson's attacking, aggressive style has added vigor and some much needed playmaking ability to the Arizona State secondary in just a few short weeks.
