Joshua Dobbs (6'3/190) of Alpharetta High School in Alpharetta, Ga. is a
4-Star quarterback by FOX Sports Next currently ranked No. 22 in the nation at
his position.
Dobbs is a lean, athletic quarterback with a live arm. He is comfortable sitting
back in the pocket and picking apart a defense, and he is very good throwing on
the run. While he is a good runner, his right arm is still his best weapon. If
there is an open lane in front of him, he'll take it, but he's not looking to
try and beat defenses with his feet.
Dobbs is in an offense that allows him to throw the ball nearly every down and
to every quadrant of the field. In one game, he'll show off the entire repertoire
from the benchmark deep out throw, to more subtle swing passes and fades.
Dobbs is committed to Arizona State as a member of the Class of 2013.
Here is a look at him in action from his game against North Forsyth on Friday
10/12/12. For the game Dobbs was 27/39 for 405 yards and five touchdowns.
