Hytchye Welcomes Visitors

After taking his official visit to Pittsburgh last weekend Jaleel Hytchye is hearing from a new suitor and welcomed coaches from a couple of SEC programs.

For Cincinnati (Ohio) La Salle defensive back Jaleel Hytchye one door closes as another one opens. After taking an official visit last weekend at Pittsburgh, Hytchye welcomed in a couple of SEC programs the past two days.

"My visit to Pittsburgh was nice," said Hytchye. "I guess the players and coaches are what really stood out to me. They have a great family environment and I just had a good time while I was there."

One program the 6-foot, 165-pound Hytchye was hoping to hear from after a coaching change was Kentucky. That happened on Wednesday night as new defensive coordinator D.J. Eliot made a visit to the Hytchye home.

"I was waiting to hear from them (UK) and was excited they hired Coach (Mark) Stoops," said Hytchye. "I got a chance to sit down with Coach Eliot who came from Florida State too. We talked about what they plan on doing and about Coach Stoops track record. They want to get me down for an official visit and I'll definitely be taking an official there."

While the Wildcats made their visit with Hytchye on Wednesday night, Tennessee wasted little time in getting into La Salle high school to make their intentions known.

"Tennessee reached out to my coach and I spoke with (assistant) Coach (Willie) Martinez yesterday," said Hytchye. "I already knew their new head coach Butch Jones from his time at Cincinnati and all of their coaches before they went down there. I have been keeping in contact with them as they went down there and I'll be taking an official visit there as well."

With two SEC program now in the hunt another program stopped to see Hytchye about getting him on campus.

"Louisville stopped in the school," said Hytchye. "They really, really, really are trying to get me down for a visit. So we'll see what happens with that."
