Tremblay pledges to Sun Devils

When his teammate, and now fellow Arizona State commit, Nick Kelly was offered a scholarship during their Tempe trip, Josh Tremblay was wondering if he would have the same fate. The American River (Calif.) College offensive lineman had to wait just 24 hours later to get the phone call he was anxiously waiting for.

"Coach (Todd) Graham called me yesterday," Tremblay recalled, "and he told me that all the players Arizona State offered have committed to them but one. He paused and then he offered me a scholarship. He was joking around with me giving me a hard time but I didn't care because I was so happy that I got the offer and I committed on the phone.

"They said that they are going to send me the (scholarship agreement) paperwork this week and I will sign them and send it back, and enroll there for January."

During his visit to ASU this past weekend, Tremblay was impressed with many aspects during his official trip.

"I loved the town and the environment there," Tremblay stated. "The whole area was very nice and people were friendly there. That was probably the best part of my visit. The campus and facilities were top of the line. The thing that I was impressed the most with was the stadium. Walking out onto the field was awesome…can't imagine what it would look like filled up with fans.

"I had a good time hanging out with the players. I was hosted by Brice Schwab and he told me to be prepared to work hard if I came there. He also told me that the linemen liked Coach Connelly a lot."

The 6-4 280-pound Josh Tremblay is being recruited an offensive tackle, and said that the Sun Devil staff liked his pass blocking skills and his tenacity playing the position.

Tremblay was also considering Fresno State and New Mexico.
