Post-Rose Bowl Field Frenzy: Owen Marecic

Ryan Hewitt - FB or TE?

Among the numerous recent Cardinal players on the Stanford sideline at the 2013 Rose Bowl was 2010 Paul Hornung Award-winner Owen Marecic, whom former Card coach Jim Harbaugh once famously dubbed 'the perfect football player'. Owen has got to be the most modest pro football player on the planet, but he was happy to praise his former Stanford teammates including long-locked FB Ryan Hewitt!

Post-Rose Bowl Field Frenzy - Part IV: Former FB/LB Owen Marecic

We always love to run into former Stanford players and hear their thoughts on the current Cardinal program. In the immediate aftermath of the Cardinal's 20-14 victory in the 99th Rose Bowl, I was able to grab a couple of minutes with former Stanford two-way star Owen Marecic. The current Cleveland Browns fullback was thrilled to be present, along with 2012-2013 Browns teammates and Stanford alumni Alex Smith and Johnson Bademosi, for Stanford's historic 2013 Rose Bowl win!
