Webb Chooses Tulsa

It's official, Tulsa Metro Christian Academy lineman Zach Webb has pulled the trigger and committed to Tulsa.

It was a long journey, but after a late offer from Webb's hometown school there was no doubt in his mind about the decision.

"I was being recruited by Coach Denver Johnson after attending their summer camp this year," Webb said. "I attended three of their home games as an unofficial visitor since its in my home town."

There was more to the decision for Webb though.

"I have always wanted to play at TU. I love their coaching staff," Webb said. "The degree opens more doors than other schools and they offer Kinesiology which I what I want to study."

But that isn't the only reason why Webb chose to stay at home for college.

"Another big thing is that it in my home town," Webb said of Tulsa. "I really wanted to be close so my two sisters and little brother could come watch my games and I wouldn't miss out on their lives."

He added, "Plus the character of the coaching staff is second to none."

"I was offered because I can play both offensive guard and defensive tackle," Webb said. "I love being seen as an underdog team and we are going to turn a lot of heads in the next 4-5 years."

Before Webb can sign the dotted line for Tulsa on signing day, he will take his official visit Friday.

"My official this weekend at Tulsa will be mostly with other commits, so I am looking forward to getting to know my new family." Webb said. "Also, on this trip, Head Coach Blankenship asked me to bring my siblings. So I am excited for them to all meet."

He continued, "Really I am just excited about everything. It can't come soon enough."
