A big surprise. That's the way that Huntington Beach (Calif.) Edison offensive tackle Martin Coleman…
Post-Visit Report: Martin Coleman
Martin Coleman: "It was awesome. It was my first official visit and I had a lot of fun. We got to see the school and all the facilities. They talked to us about the academics and that's important because you have to plan for your future because in case football doesn't work out."
DD: Who was your host player?
MC: "Martin Tevaseu."
DD: What stood out the most to you on this visit?
MC: "I didn't expect to see that many Polynesian players on the team (laughs). They have 14 players."
DD: Tell us about your skills. What are your strong points and what are some of the skills you need to work on?
MC: "I need to work more on my pass blocking. I do run block well. I did switch from right tackle to left tackle, so I'm still working on my technique playing of the left side."
DD: How is your team doing this year?
MC: "We're 4-1 right now."
DD: ASU had a rough game against Oregon. Is that something that made a difference on your trip?
MC: "Nah. Teams will lose sometimes. ASU will have some good days and bad days, I just happened to visit when they had a bad day."
DD: You're committed to USC and you're still checking out other schools like ASU. What would it take for you to de-commit and sign with another school?
MC: "(laughs) I don't have an answer to that. I'm 100% committed to USC and I want to see what other schools have to offer."
DD: What other visits do you plan to go on?
MC: "I'm planning to go the Nebraska and Miami, but I don't have dates yet. I also plan to visit USC."
