Florida Linebacker Commits to Sun Devils

ASU has found more recruiting success in the state of Florida. Oliver Aaron, a 6-2 190 linebacker from Gainesville high school verbaled to the maroon and gold yesterday. Devils Digest talked to Aaron about his decision.

"Coach Erickson offered me a scholarship yesterday and I accepted it," said Oliver Aaron who visited Arizona State on Jan. 12th. "It's a great school, a great place to be, a good college town, great people…just a good situation for me." Aaron added that ASU safeties Coach Matt Lubick will be visiting his home on Thursday.

In a previous interview, Gainesville's Coach Moore had this to say about his player. "He's a wonderful man and a great athlete," he remarked. "He runs a 4.5 and has a 39 inch vertical. He played both outside linebacker and strong safety for us. He made a transition from defensive end his junior year and was all-state at that position." Moore added that Aaron was voted All-Area Player of the Year.

Florida, West Virginia, and Florida Atlantic were all showing some interest in the linebacker.
