‘ASU is a Getting Strong, Intelligent Player'

The Sun Devils' latest addition to the 2008 recruiting class is Golden West (Calif.) College's tight end Stanley Malamala, who signed with the maroon and gold today. The Rustlers' head coach Nick Mitchell (pictured) was naturally elated that his player has landed in a four–year school, and stated that ASU has landed a gem.

"ASU's is getting a strong, intelligent and hard working player," said Mitchell of Stanley Malamala. "We were 2-8 and Stanley didn't have great numbers so he wasn't recruited by a lot of schools. But he was also not under the radar because he played in 2005, sat out in 2006 and obviously played last year."
