Posted Sep 22, 2009

Jordan Bachynski, who prepped in Calgary, Alberta and is serving on a mission in Miami, Fla. committed via email to ASU Head Coach Herb Sendek on Tuesday morning.

The 7-2 245 Bachynski is considered one of the up and coming young talents in Canada. He committed to UNLV prior to his mission and re-opened his recruitment while in Miami. Connecticut, Oregon State, BYU and San Diego visited along the center with Arizona State last Wednesday.

Bachynski was set to play his junior season at Findlay Prep in Las Vegas, before being sidelined by an ankle injury. He left for his mission the following year.

We will have an interview with Yolanda Bachynski, Jordan’s mom, later today, detailing this unique recruiting journey that culminated with the newest addition to ASU’s 2010 recruiting class.
