Stanford Preview

Arizona State lost just four games in 2013, but two of those defeats came at the hands of Stanford. In some aspects, the two squads who will meet Saturday night in Tempe do not resemble last year’s teams. The Sun Devils hope that the end result will be different as well. Devils Digest’s Joe Healey examines ASU’s next opponent.

Breaking Down the Stanford Offense

Last year, Stanford was the thorn in Arizona State’s side. The Cardinal’s battering and bruising way of football beat down the Sun Devils in both of the 2013 matchups. ASU just couldn’t match the intensity at the line of scrimmage and struggled to match up when Stanford went to its heavy sets. What can the Sun Devils expect from this side of the ball Saturday night?

ASU Offense Prepares for a Stout Challenge

It’s been nearly two weeks since Arizona State put an end to its drought against USC in Los Angeles, now the Sun Devils will look to halt another recent trend against conference foe Stanford as ASU get sets to take on the Cardinal in a re-match of last year’s Pac-12 Championship game on Saturday.

It seems as if the 2014 Cardinal squad is your classic bag of mixed goods, but how will all those factors materialize on the field when they visit Sun Devil Stadium Saturday night? The Bootleg.com’s Mark Devaughn answers Sparky’s Huddle members’ questions on Stanford

DevilsDigest TV: Stanford Preview

In 2013 Stanford was the only Pac-12 team Arizona State could not beat, suffering a road loss and a home defeat in the Pac-12 Championship game. This year’s Cardinal squad is much improved defensively but has taken a step back on offense. What can the Sun Devils do to come away victorious in Tempe on Saturday night? Becca Winn and Hod Rabino discuss this week’s matchup.

Goodman Eager to Show His Growth

The path that leads from junior college to a Division-I school usually starts with humble beginnings. It often occurs because the basketball player lacked the grades or quality offers from Division-I programs exiting high school. For Indian Hills Community College transfer Savon Goodman that is not the case.

DevilsDigest TV: ASU Hoops’ Open Practice

A few hundred fans gathered at the Weatherup Center to attend Arizona State basketball’s open practice, which wrapped up the first week of pre-season sessions for the Sun Devils. Here is what head coach Herb Sendek, and players Jonathan Gilling and Chance Murray had to say about the event.
