Tuesday’s matchup between Arizona State and TCU proved to be an accurate testament of what we can expect from the 2009-10 Sun Devils. When previewing this year’s ASU’s team it was clear that it had an offense which would have to scrape and battle every game and that its defense will often have to carry them to victories. Tonight’s 52-49 win over TCU was a microcosm of that forecast. The Sun Devils used a 12-1 run in the last 3:54 of the game to advance to NIT semifinals and a meeting with Duke at Madison Square Garden.   Full Story

For once the ASU offense didn’t have its notorious slow start to a game. Unfortunately, for the Sun Devils a 44-yard kickoff return followed by a 44-yard drive ended with a fumble in the red zone, and that was the prelude to an error-filled first half. The period ended with an interception returned for a touchdown, and ultimately all those miscues contributed to ASU’s 14-9 loss to USC.   Full Story
