| Is a big safety who may grow into a linebacker. Does a good job of finding the ball and making an impact when arriving as he is an exceptional hitter. In coverage, he is above average, but does not have super speed. He has enough athleticism to potentially play over the slot in college and is more of an in the box player. |
| Biography: |
| Earnest Thomas started as a sophomore and junior at strong safety. Also plays wide receiver for the Eaglets. As a junior, made 85 tackles, had ten sacks and one interception.
Thomas finished his senior season with 100 tackles, one fumble caused and one interception. He also rushed the ball for 500 yards and 15 touchdowns.
He says he can bench 300-pounds and claims a 30-inch vertical jump.
Thomas reports a 3.0 core GPA and a 20 ACT.
Thomas: "I can come down on the run. I’m a force on the field and have a knack for the ball. I read plays fast and can react. I have good instincts and an very versatile.
“I want to improve on my pass coverage and my back peddle. I need to work on keeping my hips loose.”
